The really shallow way to learn about great thinkers

So I'm flipping through the great LJ LOLtheorist macro thread, and I have jsut inexplicably discovered Gramsci.

This is the trouble with being self educated, learning ends up coming in the most utterly scattershot fashion.

And when I say utterly scattershot, I mean that I saw this and thought "Do you know what, He IS hawt, who is he?"

If she was still around, Hypatia would chew me out something wicked.
